Meet our guest: Yasmin Nguyen
As filmmaker, writer, speaker, consultant, and Joy Ambassador, Yasmin Nguyen, travels around the world to discover, share, and inspire joy.
During this time of negativity, stress, and suffering in our world, he packed up his car to drive across America for an 18-month journey to discover, document, and share stories of real people, beautiful places and heart-opening experiences that bring us joy.
Yasmin created the Joyful Living Project as a way to reconnect people, ignite positive change, and remind us of all the beauty and good around us. He believes that we don’t have to wait for circumstances to change to begin our healing. He believes that the catalyst for positive change lies within our simple daily experiences. He believes that meaningful connection, generosity, gratitude, and adventure are the antidote to suffering. He believes that we can leave a legacy of hope, possibilities, and inspiration for our children and generations to come. And he believes that it starts with the gift of JOY.
Yasmin also serves as the Chief Marketing and Innovations Officer for the International Tour Management Institute (ITMI), a school that has been training and certifying professional tour guides directors worldwide for 43 years. Within the travel industry, he has been invited to speak and facilitate training experiences at the National Tour Association, Globus Annual Sales Meeting, and the ITMI Symposium where he facilitated a panel with leaders from top travel companies including Destination America, Globus, Gate 1, Worldstrides, EF, and Hemisphere. Outside of the travel industry, he has developed trainings and talks for brands such as Lululemon, Rotary, The Standard Insurance, and Junior League. Prior to this journey, Yasmin has been helping businesses and nonprofits build trust, fund raise, and grow by producing authentic customer video stories. Over the last 6 years, he has interviewed over 900 people including philanthropists, executives, best selling authors, and influencers. He believes that that when we connect with our community through genuine stories of passion, gratitude and impact, we energize our champions.
As he wraps up his initial Joyful Living Project tour, he will launch a podcast, write a couple of books, and hit the road again next year to film a documentary series and inspire joy on stages around the world.
