Steve Napolitan: Welcome to More Business, More Life Daily. In this episode, we’re going to talk about our core purpose and our goals right now, was to just shed a little bit more light about why we’re doing these episodes.

So welcome to Episode Three. In Episode Two, I talked about our philosophy of More Business, More Life and this kind of moves towards that. Our core purpose is to help as many people have the freedom they desire, and that’s it, have as many people have the freedom they desire. Now, it has to be what you want and what you want for your life and your freedom. And what we’ve decided to make the most impact in this globe right now is to work with leaders. It doesn’t mean that’s all we work with. Can we help other people? Absolutely, but our focus is on leaders because we want the ripple to go faster.

If we help more leaders, like if you throw a rock onto the pond and then you see the ripples go out, it gets bigger and bigger and bigger. And it is that transcendence of what we’re teaching, the going out to one person that then teaches two people, that 10 teaches four people, eight people, and then we have this multiplier effect. And so, our goal is to really work with entrepreneurs, C level executives, other coaches, consultants and speakers who found success but they don’t have the life that they want, and then we bring through systems to have more business and more life at the same time.

And part of these videos every day, we’re going to be doing these daily, we’ll be giving skills, tips on business, how to simplify while we talk about how do we have the life that we want right now, not waiting for retirement. How do we start designing and living our life while we’re building our abundance at the same time. So our specific goal in the next three years is to help a thousand businesses, one thousand businesses, work less than 40 hours a week, have more revenue than ever before, breaking revenue goals in fact, and be able to have and this is, and pay all of the staff a higher income and have everyone in the company taking more holidays. And so this is everyone in the company working less than 40 hours a week, having more income because the company has grown and has more revenue, and then we have more time off, more holidays, more time for us to go think.

You might think, wow, this is wild and crazy. Well, we’ve already done this with a couple dozen businesses. We’ve already had this effect on others, and now we want to take it to a thousand and we want to document that. I’m going to take my filmmaking background and I’m going to document these case studies, these thousand case studies, and produce episodes on other shows. This is our daily show. We’re going to be doing bigger shows where we really showcase these companies, and we’ll let you know about those so that you can tune in to those as well. This is specifically, these episodes moving forward are going to be our specific tuneups, our specific skills, three to five-minute tips that you can take into your life. Things that invigorate us and to give us specific tactics that we can take into our business.

So this is a really, really exciting for us, and I just want to give, why are we doing this, why these specific tactics, why less hours per week? Because the first answer is to work more hours. People think that’s the best way to get more things done. But if you really think about it, if you take… Let’s just use a metaphor. If you take a drill and the battery and you’re drilling away and making holes. And then at some point the battery starts to go lower, and you say, “Let me just finish this job,” and we’re like “rear-er, rear-er,” and by the last hole, you’re like “err-err-err-err,” and it’s taking forever. And if you would’ve just got another battery, you would have gotten the job done faster.

The human body is the same thing. If you’ve tried to pull an all-nighter, how many of you, ask yourself right now, have you gone and worked an all-nighter and you couldn’t figure something out. You finally go to bed and then when you wake up in the morning, you fix it in a matter of minutes. I’ve done this. Believe me, I’ve done this. How many of us have done this?

The fact is, is that if we give ourselves more rest, we’re smarter, we make better decisions. When I work with CEOs and I started developing this system with their life and I check in with them. “How are things going?” They’re like, “Oh my gosh, I’m making quicker decisions, better decisions. Things are going so much smoother. I’m way more rested. I’m calm. I’m not aggravated. I don’t get a chip on my shoulder. I don’t snap back at people because I’m calmer,” just because they’re more well-rested and they’re getting time off to do other things, like maybe go dancing, maybe take their wife out on more dates, maybe play with their kids more. Things that are going to reinvigorate them, and also when you’re taking that time off… That’s why we also are a proponent of taking more holidays, taking like weeks off, going away for a month, coming back, you’re going to have new ideas.

My last trip that I just took, I came back to my company with new ideas, things that we’re implementing right now that are making a difference in our business. And there are things I wouldn’t have thought of if I was just go, go, go, go, go, go. And we want this for all staff members because why would we want our staff members to be grinding away, while as leaders we’re off recuperating? We want everyone to recuperate. We want everyone to be working with a full battery or as close to as possible, and that means working fewer hours more precisely and with the right tactics. And that’s what More Business, More Life Daily is going to be all about. What are the quick tactics? Where are we?
