We’re taught that carving out time for pause is counterproductive.
But what if *literally* stopping and smelling the roses actually makes you more effective in work?
Just like preparing for a marathon, training in smaller chunks allows you to reach your goals and maintain sustainable balance over time.
When you commit to regular pauses in the present, your work life improves. When you show up for YOU first, others always benefit.
In this podcast, Todd Walker and I discuss:
- How to break the overworking habits and plan your fun first
- How to manage your calendar for less work & more pauses and HONOR it
- Why living the way you want won’t feel “normal” (and how to break through the resistance)
- Why it’s important to commit and surround yourself with mentors
Tune in for a big mindset shift!
Meet our guest: Todd Walker
Todd Walker started his career off in the field of Architecture. He worked for large and small Architecture Firms, Structural Engineers, Acoustical Engineers, and some Telecom Agencies. After almost a decade of working in this industry he decided to go a different route, more digital marketing focused. He graduated from Art school with a design degree. Entropic Studio was born in 2000 as he started growing his client base all around the Bay Area. Entropic did everything from print design and logo design, to digital video projects and documentaries, to developing and implementing marketing strategies. Todd’s goal was to help his clients with their digital marketing strategy and build a network of experienced marketers to support them.
Todd currently lives in Marin with his wife and 2 children (Kyan and Kacia) and dogs (Kayla & Tika). They have a small urban farm where they grow their own vegetables and raise lots of animals, everything from chickens, ducks and quail, to angora rabbits. Todd has been sharing his passion for creativity by teaching an art class to 6th,7th,8th graders once week for the last 6 years. He loves mountain biking in the Marin Watershed (his backyard) and hiking and camping all over the West Coast. He owns a 1991 VW Westfalia Vanagon, and spends time driving all over the state looking for the best camp spots in the mountains or on the coast.
