The wrong clients can become pollution in our business – draining our energy and limiting our potential. But when you start to bring more WOW clients into your business, you’re inviting a powerful energetic shift. Not only do you create better results for clients you love, but you produce major gains in your business as well. Today I’ll teach you how to move away from ‘ow’ clients and bring more of these ‘win-win’ players into your workflow!

Steve Napolitan: Welcome to More Business, More Life Daily and today I want to talk about wow clients and the results that we gain with only working with wow clients. So when we work with wow clients, many of you from the last episode might be saying, “Okay, this is fantastic. I’d love to work with just wow clients, but the fact is, I need to make money and we need to do these things.” Well, so remember when I was talking about energy. If we work with wow clients, our energy is up and we end up giving more because we’re willing to, right? And then the other side of things, we are having ow clients and we tend to want to avoid them, because it doesn’t feel good, right?
Well, the fact about this, is that it’s also what delivers wow results. So are we going to give the same results? Maybe we will and maybe you’re doing fantastic results for those ow clients, but that weighs on you. I’ve done business for years and years and years now, decades and the fact is, is that the longer you go, the more it wanes and then the less you want to give to those ow clients and you pour into your wow clients. Well, when we pour into our wow clients and think about it, anytime, just most people, it’s rare. Most people have had at least one wow client and hopefully you’ve had more, I really hope you do. When I’m speaking live at an event and I ask, “Has anybody not had a wow client?” Then I go give them a hug, because that’s a tough life, to always work with your ow clients and have that much drain on your life.
So I’m going to hope that you have a wow client and just imagine, and for those of you that don’t have an exact wow client, then just think of your best client, the one that you love the most and just imagine. Well, just think about it, let’s think about it first. When you work with them, do they tend to get more results? And the answer typically is yes. Yes, because we’re pouring into them, so how could they not get results? And then when it’s wow, when it’s truly wow, it’s mutual. I mean, that’s the whole thing that I teach too. We should only be doing business when it’s a win-win and I’m going to talk about that in some episodes coming up, because I flipped the table.
I don’t let clients choose me anymore, that’s old thinking, right? It’s like pitch and then hope who chooses you and that’s a lot of work, for one. Number two, it gets into the old sales paradigm where we’re selling ourselves, we’re presenting ourselves in some magical way, the best that we can and then we’re handling objections and it just doesn’t feel good, number one. And in this climate right now, it’s no longer okay, it’s already been not okay. I’ve been doing this for years and now people are becoming wise to this and selling is shifting, we’re tired of it.
So it has to be authentic and when you’re in a wow situation, it’s a win-win and we’re both pouring into each other and that’s what it takes, because it’s together that makes it magical, right? If you make an amazing product but your client is disgruntled about it, they don’t use it right, they throw it aside. I don’t know, I’m making stuff up here. You might say, “How could they use it wrong?” Well, I don’t know. There’s lots of products, you could even buy a software and then not know how to use it, and then complain about the software and say, “It’s a piece of junk.” But the reality is, you weren’t trained to use it. Now it could be the company and this is where you pour in, right? So if your clients need more education, are you willing to give it to them? But if they’re not wow, then you don’t want to educate them or you don’t want to spend more time.
So when it’s wow, you want to spend more time, you want to give more and it becomes magical. And just really think about it, the ones that you’ve done this with, have they gotten more results? And that really is the key, right? We want our clients to have fabulous results. I mean, if they’re using your product, amazing results, what’s that going to lead to? A whole bunch of things that I’m going to break down in the next episodes. When we have fantastic results, then we’re going to gain more revenue, we’re going to gain more raving fans, we’re going to gain more referrals and business is just going to go up and this is exactly what I’ve done.
I’ve had clients that even lost some of their ow clients, they decided to move away from them and then instead of losing revenue, maybe they did for a short period of time. They ultimately rose up and I’ve had clients triple their business, quadruple their business. Now it’s all based on their, I’m not saying everyone does this, it’s all based on their actions and what you do and that’s why I want to break more down, I don’t want you to make hasty decisions. Some of you may have to one by one, wean yourself away from some of those ow clients. You have to do what’s appropriate to your financial situation, but ultimately we want to move away.
The first thing you can do is stop taking ow clients. If you already have ow clients, don’t take any new ones. Only focus on the clients that you want and we also know, I already said it in an earlier episode in this show, is that where our focus goes, energy flows. So if you focus on wow clients, the energy will flow there and more wow clients will come your way.
