I made it to the beach!

Going out to a beach my family enjoys, we had forgotten there is a short hike out to the beach from the car. Normally, this would not be a big deal at all. It was the longest walk I’ve done to that day while recovering.

Good news, I made it out with a walking stick. Really slowly.

Then we were able to have a picnic, watch the sunset and I took a nap. Then I was ready to make the hike back.

I did it!

Once again, what was once simple for me, is now a big deal. This makes for a great accomplishment.

Celebrate the small wins. Really, they are bigger than you think.

Where can you, already, celebrate 2022?

PS – still can’t smile yet. This was still a very happy day for me, even if you can’t tell by my face.
