Early in the dating years with my wife I bought Carl’s Jr. (Fast Food,) brought it to my house, lit some candles and invited her over. Candle light dinner!

That was over twenty-five years ago. Lots has changed. Marriage, kids, life ups and downs. Lots. We don’t eat fast food anymore either.

While I was at my acupuncture appointment, which is helping greatly, our kids set up a reenactment of that dinner.

They made us grass-fed organic burgers, wedge fries with special sauce and homemade milkshakes, all with candles. What a surprise.

Even though I can’t smile, believe me, I’m smiling inside.

I love my children. I love my family. ❤️

So much to be grateful for.
