A new phone will only give you ONE day of good use if you never recharge it. Why should we treat ourselves any differently? Entrepreneurs can have the hardest time stepping away from the grind long enough to relax and recover. Today, mindfulness expert Leticia Reyes joins us to explore the importance of giving ourselves permission to relax and reconnect with ourselves. We’ll talk about how slowing down – not relentless productivity – is actually the key to becoming wiser, more productive, and more creative business people. It’s time to find power in the pause!
Leticia is the co-founder and CEO of 109 World — a 501(c)3 public charity dedicated to changing the norm we are seeing in the world of people’s dissatisfaction, unhappiness and unfulfillment with their lives and jobs. 109 does that by designing and hosting retreats that inspire personal and collective transformation, ensuring participants have a new sense of purpose and connectedness with their lives and the world around them.
Before starting 109, Leticia was the Atlantic Director for the Hult Prize Foundation – the world’s largest student competition run in partnership with President Bill Clinton. Leticia managed all elements and operations for the Hult Prize Finals in New York at the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting and supported key Hult Prize relationships ranging from President Bill Clinton to Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Mohammed Yunus.
Leticia is also an official member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council and a contributor for Forbes.com; Contributor for Thrive Global, Arianna Huffington’s Platform dedicated to end the burnout epidemic with sustainable, science-based solutions that unlock employee performance and enhance wellbeing; Recipient of the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards 2018; Expert in increasing fulfillment and happiness at work; and Curator of Culture.
